3. Beginning to use the system

The operation of the System is based on the Internet, that is, each screen of the program is a page and the menus are accessed through "links." .

Just below the illustration at the top of the page, a menu will appear, it indicates where the user is in the system and it allows him to go back to previous stages, through the links of this menu.

When error messages appear, you can use the resources of your own navigator to return to the previous page.

Login Access

This is the main screen which gives access to the system, enter with the name and the user's password and click on "Send" to enter the program or "Clean" to delete the data from the screen.

As the system allows different types of users to operate it, the login pages should have already identified the type of user that is trying to access the system, so that when gaining access, he will already be directed to the available work options for this type.

Calendar	Allows adapting the TU calendar based on its needs.
Series	Lists the disciplines of each series and allows the registration of the contents; it also allows the alteration of the calendar of the series when this differs from the general calendar of the unit.
Groups	Allows administrating the hourly grating, students, class attendance and extra activities. .

Schedule: :

Click on the link "Schedule" which is beside the name of the group.

- Include: It allows the creation of scheduling. When there are alterations in the scheduling, it is necessary to make a new inclusion. Using the mouse, click on the link "Include" which is located at the top of the page, the last word to the right. Fill in the initial date of the new schedule and click on Send to execute the inclusion.

- To consult:it allows the consultation of the scheduling of the group;

- Classes: it offers the option of including the disciplines held on the days of the week, by selecting the discipline and clicking on "+" and to exclude, clicking on "- " in the desired discipline. When there are 2 classes in a row, the same discipline should be registered twice, putting in the duration of the normal class in each one of them

Closing / Opening

It makes the closing of grades and absences of the school year for the group. Click on "Closing" and confirm. Then the name of the link changes to "Open", this option should be used in case it is necessary to alter some data after the group is closed.

Students

It exhibits grades and absences of all of the students; clicking on the grades or absences, it is possible to see the details, as for example: composition of the grade, evaluation dates, percentile and reasons for the absences.

It closes the grades to show approval, failing and summer school (when it exists). After including the evaluations of summer school, it is necessary to close the grades again in order to analyze and count the final result of the group.

Attendance

It is the class attendance of the group. When clicking on the school day, it presents the following options:

- Consultation: It exhibits the data registered for the class.

- Alter: It registers the information about the class. Fill in the requested data and click on "Record."

- - Presence: it registers the student's presence/absences with a field for observations. Alter only the absent students, in the case of a justified absence, add the description in the reason; click on "Record."

- Activities: It registers all the activities given in the class. The activities can be worth a grade or not.

. To include: Using the mouse, click on the link "Include" which is located at the top of the page, the last word to the right. Fill in the necessary data and click on "Record" to execute the inclusion. .

For evaluations that are worth a grade, there is a field called "Group" it exists to group the grades. For example: when a grade is composed of a test worth 8 points and a work worth 2 points, we should contain them, putting them in the same group, the sum of grades of a group should always reach the maximum grade of the teaching net. Numbers should be used to denominate a group and it is the teacher's criterion to control and to give the number for each group of grades.

. To consult: It exhibits the data registered for the activity.

. To exclude: Click on "Exclude". A message will appear on the screen for the user to confirm the exclusion.

. Grades: It allows attributing the students' results when the activity is worth a grade. Add up all the grades and click on "Record."

- Content: It exhibits contents planned for the class as well as the contents for the next class, according to the teacher’s planning.

Extra classes

It registers extra activities/classes for the group.

To include: Using the mouse, click on the link "Include" which is located at the top of the page, the last word to the right. Fill in the necessary data and click on Send to execute the inclusion.

. To alter:Click on "Alter". Alter the data and click on Send to execute the alteration.

. To exclude: Click on "Exclude". A message will appear on the screen for the user to confirm the exclusion. .
